Huge congrats to PCU 2008 Girls Red 1 on another year representing at @usyouthsoccer National Championships in Orlando! They finished third in the bracket with a win against Nationals Union, and losses to Chattanooga and FW United Elite 64.

Thank you to Coach Johnny for 11 years with the club, eight of which he coached the 08G. During his time with the girls, they’ve been 7x OYSA League Winners, 2x State Champions, 2x Regional Champions, 3x NWCL Champions, 2x NL PRO Champions and 2x Nationals Championship participants. Wishing him the best on his next chapter!

At Summer Camp, we strive to foster a life-long love of the game for all players! This week we kicked off PCU Day Camp #1.

Overview: The perfect mix of sportsmanship, skill-building, and most importantly–fun! Keep your player engaged, moving and social. A great fit for your soccer-loving kiddo who is looking for extra touches with friends this summer.

Our schedule included small and large-sided games, technical development activities, team building and of course, Wacky Wednesday and Jersey Day cat-walks. Players participate in a camp-wide tournament and compete in campers vs. coaches at the end of the week.

Advanced Camp, M-Th, 9am-12:30pm: Intense technical and physical training to prepare older athletes for high school soccer tryouts and beyond. Position specific training provided.

This is a prominent step forward for our club and players, offering our athletes increased exposure to college coaches, access to top-tier competition and participation in regional and national showcases.

“ASPIRE serves as a critical bridge between the GA’s top-tier league and the highly competitive landscape of elite youth soccer, establishing a structured path of performance-based advancement for clubs and players. The league offers a high-intensity competitive platform that challenges players to develop both technically and tactically while preparing them for collegiate opportunities. The GA’s mission is to create an environment that fosters growth, competition, and success, while its vision is to inspire a lifelong love of the game through high-level play, camaraderie, and showcase opportunities.”

Players and teams will have the opportunity to compete in Regional and National Showcases, offering increased exposure to college coaches and scouts. At the end of each season, ASPIRE will host a National Championship at each age level (U13-U19), allowing top teams to compete for national recognition while players gain meaningful development experiences on a large stage. A core feature of ASPIRE is its individual talent identification program, which will recognize top-performing players beyond team results. This initiative allows the best players to receive opportunities they have earned.

Portland City United Soccer Club is excited to announce that our U13-19 Boys first teams are joining the Elite Clubs National League Regional FarWest League (ECNL Boys RL) for the upcoming 2025/26 season! This is a prominent step forward for our club, our players and community, offering our athletes unparalleled opportunities for growth, exposure and development.

The league’s matches and events are integral for players to continue their development, be accounted for collegiate opportunities, and be identified for potential participation in US Soccer youth national team programing. The league will include both regular season conference games and cross-conference events with qualifying teams advancing to the Post Season event.

RL is the second tier of the ECNL which provides our club with a competitive platform at the Far West regional level. PCU joins Eastside Timbers, Boise Timbers Capital FC, Eugene Metro FC, FC Portland, Idaho Rush, Oregon Premier FC and United PDX in this league. The season includes 16 games total home/away, including one weekend in Boise, ID and ECNL RL - West Playoffs, for teams that qualify through league play.
