Please see the information below regarding Portland City United Soccer Club’s tryouts for the 2020-21 season. All players and parents are also required to review the club’s phase one Return to Play Protocols prior to attending tryouts or training sessions.

Each group will have one day of tryouts, and all sessions will be 45 minutes long. Players will be notified by their coach in advance regarding which tryout group they are in. If you have any questions about the information below, please notify the club at email@example.com.
Tryout Schedule: Players will be notified by their coach in advance regarding which tryout group they are in.
Players must bring their own ball, water bottle, and hand sanitizer.
Players must wear a mask before and immediately after their tryout session.
Players should wear cleats, athletic shorts, and an athletic shirt / jersey. Players should not wear a PCU jersey to tryouts. Please wear an alternate athletic shirt / jersey without a youth soccer club logo.
Players should have their equipment on prior to arrival, so they are ready to begin training promptly at the designated start time.
Players who pre-registered in advance should arrive 5-10 minutes prior to their tryout session start time. Please do not arrive earlier than that, so we can help manage traffic flows in and out of the facility.
Players who are planning on registering on-site should plan on arriving 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.
Parents should stay in the car for drop-off, if possible. If you must leave your car, adhere to social distance requirements and wear a mask.
Parents will not be allowed on the field, but they can escort players to the complex / field perimeter if needed.
Players who pre-registered online in advance of tryouts can report directly to their assigned field. They do NOT need to check-in at tryout headquarters.
Players or parents with questions, or those who plan to register on-site, can check-in at tryout headquarters next to the Field #8.
Parents should stay in the car for pick-up at the designated exit points for each field, if possible. If you must leave your car, adhere to social distance requirements and wear a mask.
Parents will not be allowed on the field, but they can meet players at the complex / field perimeter if needed.
Team Placement Notifications & Acceptance
Players & parents will be notified within 24 hours of the conclusion of their tryout session regarding their team placement, and they will receive an official acceptance email through Blue Sombrero.
Offers need to be accepted through Blue Sombrero within 48 hours of receipt.
Players are not allowed to participate in subsequent training sessions or team activities until they have officially accepted their spot.
