If your player was born 2012-2008, we are no longer accepting players for the Fall Season. Players in this age-group will be on Winter Break (no training) from 11/17 - 1/23, but have the option to participate in PCU's Winter 7v7 League. Players on these teams participate in our annual program which runs May-November '22 & February-April '23. Tryouts for the '23-'24 season will be held in May '23. If you are interested in joining mid-season, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org and provide your players name, gender and birth-year. If there are any spots become available, your player will be invited to attend one of the team's regular training sessions as a tryout to see if it is a good fit.

Information About Registration & Next Steps:
You must register for "tryouts," pay the $25 fee and sign all waivers before attending the session. To do so please login/create your account on our registration portal and complete the sign-up process prior to the deadline given to you by a member of our registration team.
Our staff must open to registration for each age-group manually, you will not see the option to add the program to your cart until after you reach out via email and the coach approves the tryout. All players must be registered for tryouts before they can step foot on the turf for insurance purposes.
If the coach would like to offer your player a spot, you will be sent the official team invite and will be able to register for the season. Club membership rates will be prorated based on date of first official practice. Players are not committed on a roster until they accept their spot via the offer email and make their first payment. Players are not permitted to attend training the following week until they have officially accepted their spot. Coach's will distribute the age-groups yearly calendar during new player's first week of training.
Coming for a tryout? Here are a few helpful tips!
Most importantly, remember to have fun and thank you again for joining us.
Tip #1: Come Prepared
We ask that players do not wear PCU or other club's uniforms to tryouts. Please bring a ball (with players name + phone number, legibly in sharpie), cleats, shinguards and water bottle. Masks are currently optional for all players.
Tip #2: Arrive Early. Players should arrive 15 minutes early to check-in and warm-up.
Directions & Parking: All training sessions are head at Buckman Field (300 NE 12th Ave, Portland, OR 97232). Players can enter the field by either the Tennis Center on 12th Ave (recommended), the alley by Voodoo Donuts, or the via 16th Ave by the walkway on the north-side of the Buckman Terrace Apartments. There is street parking available at all three entrances.
Families are welcome to accompany their player to the field, and are permitted to watch from the track only (not on the turf). Please report directly to your age-groups field (see training schedule) and introduce yourself to a member of the team's coaching staff. If you are having trouble locating the correct field, feel free to ask any coach to point you in the right direction, or visit our Club House on the NW corner of the field (blue building).
Tip #3: During warm ups, put yourself out there. Introduce yourself to someone, or ask someone to pass or juggle during warm-ups.
Tip #4: Be vocal, be positive. Communicate during the game play, tell a teammate "nice pass, good tackle," etc.
Tip #5: Relax. You will make mistakes, everyone does, it is okay to make mistakes! Showing how you respond to those mistakes is what matters more.
Tip #6: Listen; but if you are unsure of something, don't be afraid to ask a question.
Tip #7: Most importantly, remember to have fun and thank you again for joining us.
