Masks No Longer Required During Outdoor Club Training/Games

Updated: May 28

Based on the most recent guidance from the CDC, OHA, City of Portland, and Portland Parks & Recreation, PCU is no longer mandating face coverings for players, coaches, and spectators during outdoor club events (training, games, etc.) at Buckman Field Park beginning Friday, May 28.

Unvaccinated players, or those in high-risk categories, are strongly encouraged to continue to wear a mask. All players and coaches who prefer to still wear a mask are also welcomed to do so. All players, coaches and spectators are still required to wear a mask if entering the office/restrooms at Buckman Field.

For events at locations outside of Buckman Field Park, please continue to follow the requirements & guidelines set in place by those facilities. For spectators at Buckman Field Park, we ask that you continue to limit yourself to two spectators per player, stay outside of the track when viewing, and follow all COVID mitigation practices, including:

  • Wearing a mask if you are unvaccinated or in a high-risk categories, strongly encouraged

  • Frequently washing or sanitizing hands and covering mouth/nose when coughing/sneezing

  • Social distance

  • Stay home if you feel sick or a family member is sick. Notify your coach or a club director if you have an exposure to COVID or a confirmed case of COVID

Thanks for your continued support as we continue to adjust to updated guidance from federal, state, and local officials.

If you have any questions or concerns about participating or the club's protocols, please notify the club director, Shaun Figueiredo, at shaun@pcusc.org.
