Our partnership with Eture Sports keeps growing and achieving great results! Our shared goal is clear: to create opportunities for players and coaches, expand access to college recruiting, and empower student-athletes and PCU players through international experiences.
Key initiatives:
Player Development Programs
Joint camps, clinics, and training sessions that integrate coaching expertise and resources from both organizations.
Elite Competition Opportunities
Access to higher-level competition for top players - international exposure through Gap Year program, College Showcases, and training opportunities.
Community Engagement
Collaborative efforts to increase youth participation in soccer, build stronger ties to local neighborhoods, and provide mentorship and leadership development for players and coaches.
Shared Resources & Facilities
The creation of collaborative spaces for training, development, and team-building exercises, maximizing the use of both clubs' facilities.
The partnership between Portland City United and Eture FC promises to elevate soccer in the Pacific Northwest and Spain, enrich the development of players, and strengthen the soccer community for years to come.
A Year in Review
Over the Summer, PCU coaches and directors traveled to Spain to learn the ins and outs of Eture's programs, explored their facilities, learned about their methodology, and experienced their program dynamics firsthand.
In the fall and winter, we welcomed Eture staff to Portland to lead coaches and player seminars for PCU staff, coaches and families.
Over Spring Break, PCU players are traveling to Spain for competitive friendlies, elite environments and cultural experiences. So far, they have visited the FC Barcelona Museum, trained at Eture's facilities and played matches against local teams. They toured Valencia and experienced the City of Arts & Sciences, Malvarrosa Beach and a walk through the old town. They attended a Valencia Femenino match and made a visit to Mestalla. Players and coaches are having a great time discovering Spain while being immersing in fútbol culture.
