Portland City United Soccer Club and Eture FC Announce Strategic Partnership

Portland City United Soccer Club (PCU) and Eture FC are excited to announce a new strategic partnership aimed at fostering growth, excellence, and collaboration within the soccer community.

This innovative partnership combines the resources, expertise, and vision of both organizations to provide enhanced opportunities for player development, community engagement, and competitive success across all levels of play.

By joining forces, PCU and Eture FC will strengthen their commitment to creating pathways for talent development, creating additional collegiate pathways for players in the Pacific Northwest, and supporting local athletes in their pursuit of excellence. The collaboration will also focus on expanding community outreach, grassroots initiatives, and providing opportunities for youth, adult, and elite players alike to grow within the game.

"Today marks an exciting new chapter for both PCU and Eture FC," said Jeff Enquist, CEO of PCU. "This partnership will allow us to better serve our players and coaches, foster greater collaboration, and build stronger relationships with the community. Eture FC shares our commitment to developing young talent and promoting the sport in a way that uplifts everyone involved, and we are thrilled to partner with such a forward-thinking organization."

"We believe that soccer is about more than just the game—it’s about community, culture, and growth," said Jaime Miralles, CEO of Eture FC. "This partnership is a natural fit, and we are excited about the opportunity to work with Portland City United to bring our shared vision to life. Together, we will create an environment where players can thrive."

Key initiatives of the partnership include:

  • Player Development Programs: Joint camps, clinics, and training sessions that integrate coaching expertise and resources from both organizations.
  • Elite Competition Opportunities: Access to higher-level competition for top players - international exposure through Gap Year program, College Showcases, and training opportunities.
  • Community Engagement: Collaborative efforts to increase youth participation in soccer, build stronger ties to local neighborhoods, and provide mentorship and leadership development for players and coaches.
  • Shared Resources & Facilities: The creation of collaborative spaces for training, development, and team-building exercises, maximizing the use of both clubs' facilities.

The partnership between Portland City United and Eture FC promises to elevate soccer in the Pacific Northwest and Spain, enrich the development of players, and strengthen the soccer community for years to come.
